After more than two decades of creating smiles, I have seen “my kids” grow up, graduate, start careers, start families, and now I’m starting to care for the kids of my kids! I am honored to hold this role in our community, knowing that many of the beautiful smiles I see in yearbooks and wedding photos were created here in my practice.
When I first opened my professional doors, I asked a successful, well-respected local dentist how he’d achieved his stellar reputation. He told me that so long as I cared for each patient as if they were my child or my relative, everything else would work out. I embrace this philosophy to this day.
During the time I’ve been practicing I’ve seen trends, gizmos, and devices being marketed, all claiming to make treatment better, easier, or faster. In the end, it’s all about the treatment experience and the strength of the results. Therefore, I emphasize using proven, advanced techniques and technology, rather than the latest gadget. My patients deserve a lifetime of beautifully healthy and radiant smiles!
Choosing to become an orthodontist made sense to me, as it combines art, science, and personal connections. Oral healthcare appealed to me at a young age and I had a great relationship with my own dentist. I knew I wanted a profession that allowed me to positively change people’s lives, the time needed to truly get to know people on a personal level, and to work with kids.
Orthodontic offices have a well-deserved reputation for being fun and energetic because of our patients and their families. I started practicing in 1994, returning to my hometown of Placentia, and love that my days are filled with smiles!

Beyond the Practice
Born and raised in Southern California, I’ve spent most of my life in this area. My wife Michelle and I live in Anaheim Hills, where we raised our two now-adult children. Our life is currently filled with pets: at last count we had four dogs, a cat, guinea pig, and two horses!
Outside of creating smiles and being with loved ones, my passions include golf, hockey, fitness, nutrition, and animal welfare. When I retire I plan to spend my days golfing and volunteering in an animal shelter.
